frisbee2I won’t buy him outright, but I am going to start leasing him. This will have two benefits: I ease myself into horse ownership, and Frisbee isn’t uprooted from the farm.

I’m really looking forward to this! I will get to ride twice a week, which realistically is probably all I would be able to do even if I owned him outright. I also get to make him all purty and stuff. He had been looking kind of ragged lately. Granted, it’s winter, and a winter coat is hard to work with, but if I’m out there taking care of him, especially his feet (what is it with Texas mud? It’s like chipping away at concrete trying to pick out his hooves), he’s going to look like the pretty boy I know he is.

Now if the weather would only cooperate. It’s been raining pretty much nonstop for the last 24 hours, so I won’t be doing much riding until next week anyway.

But yay! I (half) own a horse!
