Realms of Fantasy folds

Sad news for short story writers: Realms of Fantasy, long-running fantasy magazine edited by Shawna McCarthy, has announced that it is closing down after the April issue.

I sold two stories for Realms and had high hopes for becoming a regular within its pages. The first story, “Into the Dark,” appeared several years ago and is available online in podcast form at Spacesquid.com.

“Ice” was published in 2006. The magazine published many wonderful stories over the years and it will be missed.
