I just visited the Texas Book Festival with A and we came back with a sack full of booty. A got Catch 22 and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? I got two books on riding and training horses, plus a historical biography Georgianna, an Arturo Perez-Reverte novel, and a book on mustangs after hearing Deanne Stillman speak. The training book is in preparation for my dream project, which is to adopt a mustang. The riding book is for theory in support of my renewed passion for the sport. And I can’t pass up a Perez-Reverte book.
I also touched base with the folks at Hastings up in Round Rock, just north of Austin, and they asked me to do a book signing for Red Gold Bridge and Gordath Wood and come speak to their paranormal romance readers book group, which I am delighted to do, so I will be sure to let you all know about that appearance as soon as the details are settled.
It was a gorgeous day. Crisp cool fall weather, bright blue sky over the festival grounds, held mostly at the Texas Capitol. Books and sunshine — what a great day.
