An email you don’t want to get from your editor (paraphrased):

Umm, where are those copy edits we sent you a month ago?

Apparently, what with the weather in England, the Royal Mail has been having trouble delivering the mail.

(I guess it’s because they don’t have the slogan. Pssst, Royal Mail! You need the slogan!*)

Anyway, the copy edits arrived today so I know what I’ll be doing for the weekend. I’ve skimmed them already and they are thorough. Lots of letter u’s added, but I kind of knew that going in.

So yay! Miss Bennet is on schedule for a July debut. I will keep you posted if anything changes.

Patrice, I love the new website! Snappier. And I think the excerpt of The Unexpected Miss Bennett is terrific. Can’t wait to read the whole book.

Thanks! I’m very pleased with the website. There are still a few more small changes to come, but this is essentially it. It’s so much more readable and easier to get around.

Miss Bennet should arrive in July! I just finished making changes and reviewing copy edits and sent the manuscript back. The schedule is a little tight due mail difficulties, so fingers crossed that we make our July publication date.
